Welcome back to my blog! Today, I'm excited to share a collection of photos from a recent day trip to Palm Springs, a desert oasis known for its stunning mid-century architecture and vibrant downtown scene. This day trip was about a week ago, at the tail end of a California trip I took with my girlfriend. We were both super excited to see the famous mid century houses and cool cars parked outside.
Vista Las Palmas
Our first stop was Vista Las Palmas, a neighborhood renowned for its classic mid-century modern homes. The clean lines, glass walls, and iconic butterfly roofs made for some fantastic shots. The evening light was perfect, casting long shadows and highlighting the bold colors and textures of these architectural gems. We got lucky and saw a couple of really cool cars parked outside. A 73’ Lincoln Continental and a Gold Studebaker.
Downtown Palm Springs
Next, we headed to Downtown Palm Springs and the surrounding streets. There were some really cool scenes here. One of my favorites is below, a contrast of a blue and yellow door leading to different houses. I like to imagine that the owners collaborated in some way when they put them in.
Palm Springs really inspired me - with its exotic blend of desert beauty and architectural masterpieces. I hope you enjoy these photos below as much as I enjoyed taking them. Stay tuned for more travel adventures!
