There’s something truly magical about fall in Kananaskis. The air turns crisp, the roads quiet down (as tourists leave town), and the larch trees glow in a perfect golden hue — creating one of Alberta’s most breathtaking backdrops. It’s the kind of setting that doesn’t just complement a subject — it elevates it.
This week, I had the incredible opportunity to photograph two yellow Ferraris — the F8 Tributo and the 296 GTB — set against the vibrant larch trees just outside Bragg Creek. The timing couldn’t have been better: peak color, soft evening light, and two of Maranello’s finest sharing the same stretch of road.

The Ferrari F8, with its sculpted lines and raw, turbocharged energy, stood out with a classic supercar presence — sleek, purposeful, and aggressive. Just behind it, the 296 GTB brought a different kind of performance artistry: hybrid power, futuristic curves, and a quiet confidence that hints at Ferrari’s next era.

Framing these two together among the yellows of fall felt like nature and machine working in harmony — a visual symphony of matching tones and contrasting energies. Every angle told a different story: the reflections of the trees dancing on the paint, the symmetry of the curves, and the way the late-day sun painted both cars in a warm glow.

Bragg Creek’s winding roads have always been a favorite for car enthusiasts, but during larch season, they become something special — a photographer’s dream, where color, composition, and emotion align perfectly.
Stay tuned for more from this shoot — there are plenty more frames that capture the magic of this golden hour Ferrari duo.
